The use of Curve was problematic for Crypto.com in the early days. Transactions were blocked for sometime before being allowed (with no Cashback).
From a compliance perspective GBIT comes very close to “manufactured spend (MS)” which card issuers and card networks see as illegal (in most jurisdictions).
You are correct that PayPal is often attempted as an exploit - this is an easy way to have your account closed.
